Main Ridge Dairy is a farmhouse cheese factory and goat dairy located in Main Ridge on the Mornington Penisula. We are the only large commercial dairy operating on the Peninsula and pride ourselves in producing a milk of the highest quality that is then handmade into a range farmhouse cheeses.

Careful feed and herd management, gentle handling of the milk and a passion for cheese help us to provide a range of beautiful cheeses right here on our farm.

 
 

Half our herd has now been 'dried up' and is taking a well deserved break before kidding season in August.  That means that we only have half the girls producing through the next 3 months.  We will try to have fresh milk and our full range of cheese available, but we might fall short occasionally until we get our pregnant girls back!

Coffee! We are now serving coffee, tea and some sweet treats! 

 

Introducing - Capriole

Our newest cheese is now available. It is a mild and creamy hand ladelled lactic cheese with a fine dense texture and a soft white rind. A new favorite in our household!

 

Cheese Making Workshops

Camembert, Quarg and Hallomi - May 7th

Courses run from 10-4 and are $150.  They incl.  everything you need to make your cheese (hoops, cultures, milk), lunch and a milking tour. Some of the styles include fresh, Camembert style, & Feta.

Dairy Tours

Currently we are not running dairy tours. We will start them again when our girls kid in August.

New Platters

We have three new platters ranging from a small Nanny Plate to the Billy Goat which has five of our cheeses and bread. The Kids Platter (for the little cheese lover) has changed, but is still available.
